The summer slumber

Obviously, like any computer application, required maintenance, and development team for possible improvements, and in this case, the two teams (maintenance and development) are attached. So far so good.
But of course, a few months to occur to them to get employees to ask for summer vacation (which occurrences have sometimes, really). Come, let's go holiday giving, poor, whether in the background until they deserve.

the comments of the previous post, I would like to make some clarifications. First of all, apologize for not answering directly to comments. I've been quite busy, and the weekend I walked away, so I have not had time to answer.
And now I come to talk a little the subject. The first say that, actually, I do not think that my conditions are bad, nor do I lose if the agreement goes ahead eventually. But that does not mean that we conform to what they're putting on the table. We can not think that the agreement puts our peak hours are 1800 hours, this is going to comply, and will let you have unpaid overtime as usual. I am the first who does not believe, and I do not believe that absolutely nobody. Moreover, as in many cases the hours "official" decrease the number of hours "face", may rise. While that is a thing of each. I have a rule I refuse to do something you do not get paid. One thing that I like what I do, and quite another to do it for free.
Besides, I think the goal they have set for this agreement is very low. Purport to regulate a sector which until now was a real joke, and so far, it still is. I know people very close to doing a job similar to mine, to do it on a bench, enjoying stunning conditions. Vale, the banking agreement is one of the good and not going to get in 10 minutes, but why not try to pull a bit over there? If you work 100 hours less per year than proposed by our Convention! Not to mention the housing loans are also by convention, and myriad other benefits.

'm getting lately is that many labor issues in the blog, but I think it is something that concerns all of us who work in this sector, at least for others. It turns out that a few days ago I came news of what had agreed to the agreement of ICT, which is now blocked up that the employer does not agree. It

Cloud computing
I decided that, for once in my life, I will follow the fashion, and let's talk a little bit of this term as many laps is giving lately. Looking for a bit, I found the following definition in English Wikipedia, but has not been authorized :
may not be a very rigorous definition (is much better explained in the same English wikipedia), but it gives an idea where the shots go. Overall, I think it is something that is limited only to scheduling and research, but it could be applied to any field of computing. From a small notebook that I can go anywhere, and update, to a complete project, or an application that makes us go anywhere the tasks assigned to us and give us the means to carry them out anywhere. At least, this is the way I see it. We could take it much further, but I extend giving examples, and not what I want.
The party I want to get is to move this to the Real World ™. In Spain, I think this view of computing, will stay, like many things, one of the many castles in the air we have. I've been three or four years with the feeling that going to the office, is a mere waste of time and money, both for me and for my company (and in that time have been several). In none of my recent work I have dealt with applications installed on a resident on my computer, if not in servers that still have access from home, or who could access with a minimal change in the corporate firewall. Moreover, if we stick to the definition, it is Cloud Computing. Applications are not on my team, if not centralized in some servers.
The problem is the concept that we in Spain on this sort of thing. It seems that if the boss can not see you, you is not working. The funny part of this paper is that, on occasion, I lost more time looking for a program or a file over the network, knowing that I have it on your home computer within easy reach, and it would take half a minute to mail it, and ready.
I think that Cloud Computing has come a while ago, only now it has a name "groovy" and everyone tries to take advantage of one form or another. As always in Spain long before we get to work in a truly distributed by the wonderful reputation we have vague, and, believe it the first to literally, are the bosses. If all my work is online, why I have to keep tied to a job?
For if anyone has not noticed, in my humble opinion, this is now called cloud computing, is the final step in order to have full mobility. I focused a bit on the topic of work, but I think it extends to almost all areas. I hope that this trend begins to change sooner than later, and we can move a bit in the wonderful world of the network.

Well, once, our friend digital shopkeeper, had the odd "little problem" to qualified service Asus, which in Spain is Caelsa. As has been done on many other occasions, in a desperate attempt to find a solution to the problem, you post something on a blog, for two things, first, off your chest, and secondly, to prevent others from falling into the same trap .
The good thing is that when things are going well, also helps people to respond, and from Asus offered to check the laptop he brought down the street from bitterness to our grocer. Indeed failed, but ... despite the direct intervention of Asus, the nightmare continues .
And I think on Asus Eee ... I'm afraid I'll turn to another ultraportable, because if for whatever I have to send these unpresentable of Caelsa, better take my leave of him.
