Electricity in nature (Oscar Rey)

World
inorganic
• lightning:
The most common electrical phenomenon of the inorganic world are called lightning lightning. Friction
of water or ice particles in the air, the separation of positive and negative electrical charges in the clouds which generates electric fields.
When the electric field exceeds the dielectric breakdown, is a discharge between two parts of a cloud, between two different clouds or between the bottom of a cloud and ground.
This discharge ionizes the air by heating and excited molecular electronic transitions.
The sudden expansion of air produces thunder, while the decay of electrons to their equilibrium levels generates electromagnetic radiation, light.
• Earth's magnetic field:
The existence of the Earth's magnetic field is almost certainly due to the movement of loads in the liquid outer core of the earth.
The magnetic field Earth deflects charged particles from the sun, when these particles collide with atoms and molecules of oxygen and nitrogen in the magnetosphere will produce a photoelectric effect, whereby some of the energy excites the atoms, and when to leave the excitement , returns the energy as visible light. Organic World

• Nerve:
This phenomenon revealed the importance of electrical phenomena in living organisms.
In organisms with a nervous system, neurons are the channels through which to transmit signals that command muscle contraction and relaxation.
neurons also transmit signals to the brain, internal organs, skin and transducers, which are pain, texture, pressure, sounds, smells etc. • Use biological

:
Many fish and a few mammals, have the ability to detect the variation of the electric field in which they are engaged, among which are the stripes and the platypus. This detection is done by specialized nerve cells called neuromastros.
Some fish like electric eels and rays are capable of producing large electric shock defensive or offensive purposes, are called electric fish.
These fish, can generate voltages up to 2000 V and currents above 1 A.
